Plants

Feng shui believes that office desk plants should attract positive energy and good fortune to the desk’s financial and relationship corners. Place a money tree, a fortunate bamboo, or a jade plant in the richest corner. For the relationship corner of a desk, choose cut flowers or flowering plants.

There are several benefits of having a plant on your desk, including cleansing the air, neutralizing electronic radiation, promoting serenity, and promoting a positive energy flow.

Plants have a wood element, which implies they promote growth, activity, and life energies. Plants on an office desk convey this type of energy to the Bagua map section where they are positioned.

A Feng Shui principle dictates that plants should be placed in the corner of the office desk where wealth exists or the corner where relationships and marriages exist. You will find these in the extreme left and extreme right corners of your desk chair, respectively.

A green plant that represents prosperity, abundance, and good fortune, for example, attracts the right energy to the corner of your desk designated for wealth, whilst fresh flowers or arrangements attract the right energy for the corner designated for relationships and marriage.

Plants like this should be on any list of plants. Money Plant is considered to provide prosperity and money to individuals. It should be situated in the office or office desk’s north or east orientation. The plant is said to bring good luck if it is planted on the balcony’s northeast side.

Because it can thrive in less light than other succulents, the jade plant (Crassula ovata) is one of the best plants for workplace displays. Its dark green leaves are quite efficient at absorbing sunlight, making this reduced plant an excellent choice for your office.

Mirrors

You should hang mirrors at least four or five feet above the floor. In the room’s south-east corner, the television screen and all reflective surfaces should be placed. If you can, cover the screen when it is not in use. Keep all reflecting surfaces clean at all times.

By installing a mirror in front of your cash box in your office or store, you can attract wealth and double your profits. Alternatively, you may place the mirror inside the locker so that it mirrors the money inside. Keep the mirror clean and stain-free by cleaning it on a regular basis. It shouldn’t show a distorted picture of the locker. Additionally, you should keep your work area away from a mirror that reflects your desk, as this can double your workload.

Placement of desk

It is also important to ensure your desk is in the command or commanding position. As a result, you can see the room’s door while sitting at your desk without being directly in line with it. With a clear picture of everything you might face, you will feel as if you have an edge over everything. In your office, even if you’re not expecting visitors, the command posture works subconsciously.

You can sit at your desk and stare at the reflection of the door using a mirror if you can’t set up your desk this way. Moving your desk, on the other hand, is preferable, so do it if you can!

Cubicle

Even the tiniest areas can benefit from feng shui concepts. Here are a few easy ways to incorporate feng shui into your cubicle or small space:

  • Consider placing a fountain or a plant near your workspace.
  • Diffuse relaxing essential oils to restore equilibrium.
  • Maintain a clutter-free workspace.
  • If your cubicle’s door or entry is to your back, try putting a mirror on your desk so you can at least see it.
  • Make an investment in a good chair.

Art

Keep your workspace surrounded by things and images that motivate you, such as motto pictures or images representing what you want.

Adding art to your workstation is a terrific way to get your team’s positive chi flowing. It’s also a technique to bring in feng shui components that could be missing otherwise. Consider adding a picture that is rich in the colour green if the space lacks the wood aspect.

Setting up the correct kind of art is critical for maximising the flow of positive energy. Something lively or colorful in the office can assist everyone on the team to be more productive and moving ahead.

At end of corridor

When it comes to Feng Shui concepts, the office should be no different from the home. In a home or office, both the front door and the main door are of utmost importance. Nevertheless, depending on the purpose and function of the space, the point of focus will change significantly: for instance, there is no kitchen to consider, so the executive’s office becomes the focal point, and the conference room and reception areas must also be considered.

The workplace entry door should not be placed at the end of a lengthy corridor because it attracts killing chi (Sha Chi).

Above kitchen

In the middle of the office, there may be a kitchen symbolizing the heart of the home engulfed in flames, which can bring ill luck and negative energy into the office. Kitchens should be located at the back of the office, either in the south or southwest corner, or preferably in the north or northeast.

Animals

Pi Xiu, Fu Dog, Qi Lin, Dragon, Horse, Dragon Turtle, and others are examples. Some are protective symbols, while others are emblems of achievement and strength. It’s like a personal charm that makes you feel strong and safe all the time. Your performance at work will improve when you are confident in yourself.

Several people believe that certain animals are crucial to bringing good luck and success to a home in Feng Shui. In your office, these Feng Shui animals should be placed in the sector that corresponds to the intentions you wish to attract in your life.

Symbolic of good fortune, the pig is venerated by both Chinese and Irish cultures. In Chinese folklore, pigs bring good fortune. In Irish folklore, the pig is revered because of a legend.

Back to window cure

In addition to the quality of the air in your office, your productivity is also affected by it. Keep the sill of your window clear of clutter if you have a window. It will facilitate the flow of chi throughout the room.  Our creativity is represented by windows, as is the voice of our children. Feng Shui points can be earned by adding draperies, a mobile, or a wind chime to add some extra movement.

Colors

The color green and/or brown represents the wood element’s energy in a feng shui office. Expansion and growth are encouraged by these energies. Any home or business would benefit from these features.

The colour green has a restful and tranquil psychological effect that might be a fantastic counterbalance to a fast-paced job or home office.

Health-related firms, such as dentists and doctors, may be able to benefit from these good health energies.

A green and tan office décor can capture the energies of any company looking to grow, expand, and take advantage of opportunities.

Fire is the element represented by the colour red, which attracts fame and good fortune. With colour you can symbolize powerful energies and activate them with elements in your house or business.

Red is an energizing color that can be used to boost productivity or morale.

As a remote worker or in a home-based business, you can use the fire energy to acquire greater recognition in your company or to achieve a position of greater responsibility.

Do you find it surprising that white is among the five feng shui workplace colors? That’s not how you should be. Concentration and clear thinking are encouraged by white, part of the metal element. Despite this, it can be jarring when used alone, so many clinicians paint one wall in their office a contrasting color and leave the other walls white.

Light colors, such as purple, are perfect for a counseling office because they promote clarity, which is beneficial to everyone, but particularly your clients whose minds are full.

Chairs

If you are working on a computer, go for a chair with a high back that can give you greater support. You should also be able to sit comfortably in it! You can also use the five element colors as a guide to finding a chair that represents an aspect you’d like to bring into your workspace.

Cures

Place a picture of a mountain or tortoise in the background if you don’t have a choice. This will provide you with a strong foundation.

Install a small mirror in your office cubicle to assist you to see behind the door.

Place a little bell or crystal by the door if you can’t help yourself. Alternatively, you can put a plant between your workstation and the door. The rushing energy will be slowed as a result of this.

If you don’t have a choice, hang a gorgeous photo of an open and low area, such as a stunning garden or flower bed.

You might want to paint the beam the same color as the ceiling or stencil an uplifting motif like flying birds or clouds.

Crystals

There are many crystals that work well, but the best is black tourmaline, onyx, obsidian, hematite, shungite, tigers’ eye, and smokey quartz.

Due to the dominance of metal in this industry, a few metallic-colored gemstones fit the bill, including Goldstone, Hematite, and Pyrite.

Direction

You do not want your workstation right in the middle of a doorway, since it represents the mouth of the energy entering a room. In order to be able to see both the door and most of the room, your desk should be diagonal across from the door.

Entrance

Your workstation should be situated in a way that positions you in the “power position,” according to feng shui. As far as distance is concerned, this is the furthest point from the entrance. Ensure you can see the door from your workstation when you are seated.

Elements

There are five components in feng shui that attract energy and must be balanced. These are some of them:

  • Wood: This element promotes growth and inventiveness. Wood can be represented by trees, plants, or green items.
  • Fire: This is the most important factor. It inspires passion, vigor, expansion, daring, and change. Candles or the colour red can provide a touch of fire to a room.
  • Water: This element is associated with inspiration and emotion. Water features and blue things can be used to represent this element.
  • Earth: The earth element represents strength and stability. Rocks, carpets, old books, and brown or tan-colored items can all be used to represent the soil element.
  • Metal: Metal brings all of the elements together while also providing emphasis and order. Metal, white, silver, or grey-colored things are ideal.

Furniture

When it comes to setting up your office, you’ll want to avoid sharp edges at all costs. Use curved-edged desks or seats. You should also select furniture that exudes wealth and achievement. This promotes a pleasant working environment for employees as well as any visitors or clients.

Try to leave vast distances in the aisles when spreading out your desks so that energy can circulate smoothly around the room and not be forced to squeeze along corridors. You should also think about where lighting can generate glare, which is not only unpleasant to work with but also terrible for feng shui.

It’s all about balancing the elements in feng shui. Wood, earth, metal, fire, and water are the primary elements.

Money corner

In the far-left corner of your bedroom or workspace, you will find your wealth corner. Once you’ve found the riches area, pay attention to what’s going on.

Most essential, you must keep your office’s wealth area clean and clutter-free. This permits Qi to flow freely. You can activate the money corner by placing items that represent abundance, wealth, and prosperity there.

Mountain

Because the mountains represent the source of good fortune from the skies, they are beneficial to good Feng Shui in areas surrounding them. They also provide magnificent support and cooperation, firmly anchoring you and protecting you from being blown away by bad luck, betrayal, or tragedy.

When a picture of a mountain range is put immediately behind your desk, it provides support and strength for your work. Mountain and water images should be avoided since water forms a hollow that drains the mountain’s tremendous powers. Poison arrows are created by mountains with sharp peaks.

Facing north

Feng shui principles state that if your office faces north, your room is associated with the water element, so you should choose aquatic shades for the best results. If you want to emphasize the water theme, choose pastel blues and greens.

Open office

Open offices lead to stress, in a nutshell. Among the top causes of stress, according to feng shui, is the command position. Since it is subconscious, we are completely unaware of it. Because you can’t see what’s coming, you’re more likely to miss out on chances.

The majority of open workspaces lack natural light or window views. According to extensive studies, these two elements of nature play a role in stress.

South

The colors red, orange, and yellow are good choices. These colours are representative of the energy associated with the fire element.
